Computer vision has evolved to the point that AI robots can be trained to identify more than 50 types of recycled materials, including paper, plastic, and aluminum; gauge the purity of the materials; and distinguish between food-grade and non food-grade plastics.
Appended 2026-10-02 after the existing entries (D15) by the contents audit (check_2023_contents.py, issue #26). The volume contents run over two pages; the first capture read only the first, so the trends listed on the second were missing.
