Despite occasional corrections, the ten years leading up to 2009 have seen continuous economic expansion and prosperity due to the dominance of the knowledge content of products and services.
Grader A: miss
The decade 1999-2009 did not have continuous expansion. The US had a recession in 2001 and the Great Recession from December 2007 to June 2009, the deepest since the 1930s. These were not 'occasional corrections'.
Test: Factual test: NBER dates two US recessions in the decade (Mar-Nov 2001; Dec 2007-Jun 2009).
Grader B: miss
The decade had two NBER recessions: March to November 2001, and December 2007 to June 2009. The 2007-2009 recession was the deepest since the 1930s. That is not 'continuous economic expansion and prosperity' with only occasional corrections.
Test: Not an adoption claim. Test: absence of major recessions from 1999 to 2009. Actual: 2 NBER recessions, one of them 18 months long, ending June 2009.
