Hypomethylating agent azacitidine was FDA approved in May 2004; HDAC and EZH2 inhibitors followed. Available before the poster.

• Azacitidine (Wikipedia) (2004-05-19): FDA approved for myelodysplastic syndrome; DNA methyltransferase inhibitor, an epigenetic agent.

Grader B: hit

DNA methyltransferase inhibitors (azacitidine 2004, decitabine 2006) and HDAC inhibitors (vorinostat 2006) were approved epigenetic cancer therapies; EZH2 inhibitor tazemetostat followed in 2020.

Test: Epigenetic drugs were approved and prescribable by 2024 (earlier counts).

• Tazemetostat (2020-01-23): First EZH2 (epigenetic) inhibitor approved by FDA in 2020.
• Vorinostat (2006-10): HDAC inhibitor approved for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma in 2006.
