2016 Complicated Legal Decisions reuses the API Protection text verbatim as its first example ('What does it mean if APIs ... can be protected under copyright?', Oracle v. Google Java APIs, 'thousands of public-facing APIs'; SlideShare 2016 transcript, trend 21). The court-decided API copyright claim continues one step broader; no 2015 sibling claims 2016-022. Both checkers missed the example text.
A trend is graded on whether the publisher keeps it, never as a hit or a miss (D6, D33).
