Verdict

gapNot found in the next editions, but one of them is only partly captured, so this is not evidence it faded (D36).

A next edition is a partial capture; not finding the trend there is not evidence it faded.

A trend is graded on whether the publisher keeps it, never as a hit or a miss (D6, D33).
