Emotion-driven AI companions combine multimodal AI (voice, vision, and behavior analysis) with physical or digital presence to create emotionally intelligent systems that understand and respond to users' emotional states. These companions use affective computing to detect emotions through facial expressions, vocal tone, body language, and behavioral patterns, then adapt their interactions to provide appropriate support, empathy, and engagement. The systems merge digital interfaces with physical robot embodiments, creating companions that feel more natural and emotionally connected than traditional voice assistants.
