Autonomous Long-Endurance Military Drones

European autonomous drones flying hours-long surveillance and reconnaissance missions without human control, deployed in 30+ countries

Geography: Emea · Europe · Europe

Quantum Systems (Germany, €63M raised) produces autonomous fixed-wing drones capable of flying for hours without human intervention, performing surveillance, mapping, and reconnaissance with military-grade precision. Already deployed in over 30 countries, including active use in the Ukraine conflict.

The technology fills a gap in European defense: medium-altitude, long-endurance (MALE) unmanned systems. Europe historically depended on US or Israeli drone technology for persistent surveillance. Companies like Quantum Systems, along with Baykar's success in Turkey, demonstrated that smaller, more autonomous systems can be produced faster and cheaper than large platforms like the MQ-9 Reaper.

The Ukrainian battlefield proved that swarms of smaller autonomous drones can be more effective than a few expensive platforms. European manufacturers are scaling production to meet demand from NATO countries rearming after decades of peace dividend cuts.
