Futures studies are increasingly a global agenda. But the places, cultures, and perspectives shaping that agenda are still unevenly represented. Taking place 22–24 August 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, the Brasil Futures Forum (BFF) was created to strengthen Brazil and Latin America’s role in that conversation, bringing together foresight, culture, regeneration, innovation, and long-term thinking.
Rather than positioning itself as a standalone event, BFF is conceived as a broader platform connecting people, institutions, territories, and ideas around possible, desirable, and regenerative futures. This is the first edition, happening at different places around the city, and it’s free of charge.
The Envisioning team is proud to be part of the initiative, alongside a wider network of futurists, researchers, cultural leaders, institutions, and practitioners. Our founder and CEO, Michell Zappa, is one of BFF’s international ambassadors, and our entire team will be present.
This collaboration feels particularly relevant to our work: BFF treats futures not simply as a technology question, but as something shaped by culture, territory, knowledge, imagination, and the perspectives we choose to include.
Across these days in Rio, we will bring some of those perspectives into practice. We’ll share the full detailed program soon, but these activations already point to what we hope to contribute to BFF: new ways of exploring change, making connections visible, and building futures intelligence from Brazil outward. A Vibe Coding workshop at Casa Firjan, and soft-launch Potência Brasil, our upcoming interactive map of Brazilian soft power.

At Museu do Amanhã, we’ll showcase Signals, our multi-model orchestration tool for scanning emerging change.

Together with Cappra Institute, we will host the leadership event Agents of Chaos, an exchange of experiences on the integration of artificial agents into the organizational structure.

Envisioning will power an interactive BFF program navigator, where participants can filter sessions by day and venue, save favorites, and add them to their calendars. After the event, we’ll extend it with an experimental AI-assisted synthesis layer, clustering themes and visualizing connections across the program to turn the Forum into a continuous and navigable research artifact rather than a one-off event.
