High-temperature superconductors (HTS) exhibit zero electrical resistance above liquid nitrogen temperature. Applications include cryogenic receiver front-end (CRFE) filters for base stations; prototypes in dry ice; experiments for room temperature. Vision: no-loss conductors, magnetic levitation, lossless storage, electric cars. Research continues into new materials, higher critical temperatures, and scalable manufacturing.
