Paired with headset IMUs, the system fires milliseconds before a visual motion cue, aligning the inner ear with what players see and slashing motion sickness. Manufacturers must prove long-term skin compatibility and develop watchdog circuits that cut current instantly if signals misfire. IEEE working groups and national regulators are drafting exposure guidelines, while XR standards bodies explore APIs for describing vestibular cues. As consumer headsets ship optional ear-clip modules and arcade operators validate hygiene workflows, GVS will become another tool in the multisensory kit for immersive games.
